  • recommended amp input: We recommend quality instead quantity. Real 40 Watt at 8 Ohm are ok for normal listening levels (in rooms up to 30-40m²).
To use the whole dynamic range of it and for listening complex music also from time to time very loud we recommend >120 watts at 8 ohm.
  • efficiency: since mostly unrealistic numbers of competitors we don't want to confuse clients by comparing non-saying numbers on paper. Therefore it is: "Good efficiency, an easy load also for tube amps / SET's".
  • dimensions: 47 cm x 22 cm x 33 cm
  • weight: 185 lbs. / 82 Kg (pair incl. packaging)

Domenico Pizzamiglio (singer and Music lover) for Videohifi.com, Italy:

.....If I follow my usual review scheme, sure I will fall repeating words like “natural”, “balanced”, “dynamic”, etc… What at the first sight is clear, is that we are facing not a traditional high level speaker, even expensive, but we manage something that, put in the house, force you to rethinking some of your positions.

First of all, I was used to feel the ceramic sound as light, sometime inconsistent. With this Amea there is nothing slight or aerial. You can easy feel a quite lack of coloration (this aspect hits you directly), the remarkable dynamic quality even macro but more micro, the ability to recreate an affective image through a careful dynamic reconstruction.

Amea sounds easily, with a consequent dynamic, without apparent efforts. Human voice is really beautiful, with an unexpected material sensation, from a system of restrained dimensions.

The 6 Introduttioni of Locatelli on Foné label is a record taken not in a theatre but in its foyer, which is obviously reflecting.
All the reflections are detectable, the feeling of the space is remarkable, the arcs have a high quality of tone and even in the bass frequencies the cellos are very good outlined, with a little cue, due to the environment.

The violins, despite they don’t sound “close”, never reach the listening stress and you are willing to rise the volume ‘till the Amea advise you, with little compressions, you are at the limit (the volume is really high and bad sustained by the neighbourhoods).

To evaluate the soundstage, I used a live record at the Fenice theatre of Venice done by two microphones. The piece is the third movement of Tchaikoski Patetica: instruments are well disposed into the different planes, without any excess but with “right” and “correct” sensation. Beautiful the wind instruments, of a rare naturalness in the record and well reproduced by Amea.

I never experienced before to listen a mini/midi speaker with a so rare ability to ingenerate no confusion, no compression at all (…) instrument tone seems really dependant from a record quality (…) be sure that is you are playing a good recording, you will increase the volume, never full of a distinct sound, never euphonic at all, that brings you to be rounded of music.
I’m afraid the Amea will pay some unfair dues during a forgetful hearing. They will appear fascinating speakers, not so big and with a frequency response shifted in high frequency. But no... a mindful listening session is needed to understand what they are capable to offer.

I think everyone who is looking for a speakers system of these dimensions and that have an adequate budget (and an adequate system below, you can’t joke with these Tidal!) have to put in the list a listening session of these Amea.
Is really likely that, when you have the Amea in your room, you will revise the whole discotheque to see… “the new sensation”.
